About us
We believe in empowering innovators to push the boundaries of AI, fusion, science and technology.
We provide specialist workspace and support to entrepreneurs looking to create groundbreaking advancements in science, tech, AI and fusion. Conveniently located within the Culham Science Centre in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, our connections here mean you can work and innovate alongside visionaries at the forefront of AI and the UK’s fusion research programme. This is what makes us quite literally the hottest hub on earth – the technology used by Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE) requires temperatures approximately six times hotter than the sun’s core (100 million Kelvin).
Driving innovation. Delivering impact.
At Culham Innovation Centre, we don’t just support ambitious ideas, we help turn them into world-changing outcomes.
Our latest Impact Report highlights the startups, scaleups and technologies shaping the future of science, AI and fusion energy. From early-stage ventures to breakthrough success stories, discover how our community is accelerating innovation within our ecosystem.

Having started out with a scientific PhD, I moved straight into the world of commerce, setting up several small businesses of my own. This proved to be a great training ground for the next stage in my career, which was in Government funded business support. Nine years of which were with OI, where I supported lots of ambitious businesses to achieve rapid and sustainable growth. I had three years away from Oxford Innovation, co-founding an accelerator programme and most recently, I was involved in business development for a high-tech start-up, until I re-joined Oxford Innovation again to support businesses in Innovation Centres in Oxfordshire.
